It never connects

You have to download data to see your pace or even how long you took. But it never connects. I can turn on Bluetooth, my phone can connect, and then the app wont sync up to download the data. Many times when u try to connect Bluetooth it wont. I can literally be wearing my watch on the hand that I am holding my phone and it tells me that I need to make sure the watch is turned on or in range.
